Minneapolis Streetscape

Minneapolis Streetscape by Landscape Renovations, Inc. Landscape Renovations, Inc. took on the revitalization for the streetscape of Minneapolis that represents their commitment to improving urban ecology and creating dynamic and functional public spaces. In Minneapolis, the streetscapes were completely reconfigured to provide more pedestrian access and enhance the aesthetics of that area, while also maintaining the city's contextual sense of place. In some areas of the , there were challenges concerning space for the planting beds and how to accommodate the existing utilities into the design. The Landscape Renovations' team planned for those challenges and incorporated design solutions accordingly. We were very successful in implementing native plants, perennial plants for drought and ornamental grass, which allowed us to create a beautiful, lush landscape that is sustainable, and that obtains a strong established position in the context of Minnesota's weather. The materials chosen were attractive and of high quality and included permeable pavers, to improve drainage issues, granite curbing, as well as attractive and durable planting containers that have little or no maintenance. The look of the streetscape engaged and elevated the overall experience of the space, while also ensuring longevity of materials that were sustainable. The outcome was an attractive urban streetscape that balanced function with beauty. The wide pedestrian pathways with flower beds create a welcome invitation for foot traffic, while the seating areas create spaces for respite, rested, and for community gathering. The Minneapolis streetscape beautified urban space, and drew the community for enjoyment by the City of Minneapolis, its officials and patrons.
