Residential Landscapes

THIS POST IS A LITERAL REPEAT OF MY MOST RECENT POST ON THE PAPULES BLOG HERE AT TYPEPAD. The 'Residential Landscapes' s, designed by Bosenberg and Company Landscape Architects, is nestled with in the picturesque community of Far Hills and presents a perfect balance of nature and design. The residential process was therefore highly strategic and architectural and planned to utilise the natural beauty of the space as much as possible, in combination with rational functionalism and sustainability. The work included a full landscape redesign, and a beautiful stone path that meanders through gardens planted with native plants. A bluestone walkway was used to balance between strength, form and function with promotion of an accessible yet visually appealing walkway. The gardens were created with a mix of perennials, ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs selected for seasonal interest and ability to endure Maryland weather. Smart selection of pets helps in not just increasing biodiversity, but also control water usage owing to drought-tolerant planting methods. The main challenge we encountered throughout the course was the uneven surface of the property. We deftly worked around this challenge by implementing tiered gardens beds and a large site-built natural stone retaining wall. It thus offered greater structural integrity, as well as rustic splendor that became one with its historic landscape. Our efforts eventually led to a peaceful outdoor sanctuary that is made for relaxing and enjoying. The end result features a calming water element, which serves to add calming sounds and local wildlife to produce an ecosystem directly in the client's backyard. Additionally, a custom fire pit area was incorporated into the outdoor living space, ideal for family gatherings and entertainment. The happy client elaborated that the are meticulous and the workmanship is topnotch, exactly what Bosenberg and Company are known for. In fact, the ‘Residential Landscapes’ proves our mission for delivering the finest landscapes, meeting within and even going beyond the client expectations, providing them with outdoor spaces that reflect their vision!
