Modern Contemporary Theme - Yorba Linda My Garden: Landscape Design by Wayne is proud to present the 'Modern Contemporary Theme' that was completed in picturesque Yorba Linda. This beautiful space embraces contemporary design principles of clean lines, minimalistic appeal, and a balance of nature into the main elements. This is full of stunning landscaping features, including the elegant stone walkway that was built with locally sourced basalt pavers, which led into a quiet seating area with beautiful quality teak furniture. The space was also filled with highly vibrant ornamental grasses and succulents, which provided nice bold pops of color and low maintenance functionality with dry climate sustainability principles. The firepit we built was nestled into smooth river rock, acting as a center piece for gatherings and comradery. The most significant challenge was dealing with a slope. Our team was able to incorporate terraced gardening beds to maximize functionality and aesthetic appeal. We built the terraced walls using natural stone so it blended into the yard while adding structural integrity. Landscape design lighting was added in strategic locations to draw attention to the elements design and add a usability factor in the evenings. We used high-quality materials, including wood from sustainable sources and eco-conscious portable lighting, that is thoughtful to the environment while ensuring an attractive durability for all areas of the landscape and tablescape. It was rewarding for we to provide the client with such a stunning outdoor area that met their needs, matched their vision, and exceeded their expectations. The addition of the contemporary designs created an escape of modern design and nature, providing an inviting retreat for leisure and relaxation.
