The focused on an existing pool and surrounding pool area that required a full renovation to enhance the appearance and usability of the space. Our talented team met the challenge by implementing a number of new features and components that fit seamlessly into the surrounding landscape where quality workmanship and design were important. We used only the best materials available including locally sourced stone for the paving and natural wood decking that was custom-built to enhance the pool experience. As part of the , we also created a lush perimeter garden to provide privacy and peacefulness to the area. Choosing the right plants took considerable research and consideration, but we were sure to present a selection of plants that focused on native species, grasses, and other plants that provided year-round interest and help with local biodiversity. In addition to enhancing the aesthetic quality of the pool area and garden, the softscape components helped minimize erosion and water retention which were concerns for the environmental stakeholder. Perhaps, the most challenging aspect of the overall was managing a sloped terrain feeding into the pool area. Our team planned and built terraced gardens that enhanced the visual aesthetics of the space while creating functional planting space. This very unique design feature provides our client with a beautiful view of their newly landscaped oasis while providing a stable growing environment and safe approach to the pool. The completed Wellesley Pool has pleased our client's renovation intentions, and allows for a unique space of outdoor-designed leisure for family fun.
