Outdoor Kitchen by Weavers Landscape Company Weavers Landscape Company recently accomplished the vibrant and impressive Outdoor Kitchen , converting a backyard into an entertaining culinary space for a valuable client in Chambersburg, PA. This reflects our efforts for quality and creativity to enrich outdoor living. The main feature of the design is a spacious stone grill island in custom-built form, made from durable and weather-resistant granite to connect and compliment the environment. On either side of the grill island are matching granite counter tops to assist with meal prep and entertaining the guests. An attractive and functional pergola is incorporated to provide shade for the dining table and provides a nice spot to enjoy dining outdoors, even after sunset with integrated LED area lighting. As an enhancement to the landscape, we also included lush native plantings on either side of the outdoor kitchen to provide structure and increase privacy as well as add color. The kitchen area is connected to the home and the rest of the landscape with complimentary paths made of stone. These paths add another level of detail and allow the space to function properly. A unique challenge of the site's original features was the sloping terrain, which required below-grade to proper grade drainage considerations, and modifications in the degree of slope around the kitchen to provide a proper flat foundation under the kitchen builds. Fortunately, Weavers held this level of planning in thought and executed well with modifications to the property uniques. The outcome of the is a wonderful outdoor kitchen that serves a need for the client's cooking abilities, while providing a great gathering spot for family, children, and entertaining. The combination of natural materials, plantings, and design have truly set this outdoor space off.
