The North Hampton Subdivision, Marietta, GA The Landscape Group Inc. is excited to introduce its most recent transformation at North Hampton Subdivision in Marietta, GA. This was a testament to our concern for quality and creativity in landscape design. Across several acres, our team was challenged with molding contemporary design with the region's natural beauty. We began with a detailed site analysis, allowing us to understand the existing topography and soil conditions. From there, we developed a rigorous landscape plan of native plants that grow well in Georgia's climate and need little treatment. Our design included an incredible diversity of plants, including local flowering dogwoods, azaleas, and grasses - all chosen to provide seasonal texture and movement. To promote community enjoyment of outdoor spaces, we incorporated a series of engaging walking paths of permeable pavers to allow for drainage and aesthetics. We also installed lighting to highlight the boundaries of gardens to promote spatial understanding while creating a calm, tranquil atmosphere in the evening. One struggle we faced was managing the steep slopes found throughout the site. We responded by implementing terracing techniques and retaining walls out of natural stone, which stabilized the slopes and provided visual interest and beauty. Importantly, we utilized beautiful materials, including locally sourced stone and eco-friendly mulch, smart choices in durability and longevity. The end result has been a great success! Residents now have multifaceted common spaces to enjoy - aesthetically pleasing and useful to interact as a community as well as manifold of property value. Client responses have been outstanding that the design complements the existing landscape.
