A complete redesign of the poolside landscape with an intent to create a convivial space for relaxation and entertainment at heart of The Greater Houston area. Making use of hardscape and planting in playful use of transition areas that would harmoniously marry the functional aspects of outdoor living was the vision to 'Pool Side'. We used multiple high-end materials, like natural stone pavers for the patio, which are not just visually appealing but they also offer durability, and great traction which is so important by the pool. A palette of bright, colorful tropical plants and dry-climate shrubs created a colorful but easy-care landscape for Houston weather. This presented an additional challenge because there was already uneven grading and drainage that could disrupt the visual flow and usability of the space. The site was then graded using our team of skilled professionals, ensuring a flat level surface for the foundation, incorporating a whole site drainage system to maintain the pool and surrounds during periods of heavy rain. The end result is a stunning poolside scene where the soft and the hard merge seamlessly. DIY Wooden Pergola + Added Outdoor Lighting: A custom-built wooden pergola provides shade and style, and comes complete with outdoor lighting that makes a big difference during evening get-togethers. By installing lounge areas with comfortable seating and a fire pit, systems that offer ideal environments for family gatherings and social functions are created. The satisfied client could not have been happier, as she told us how the `Pool Side` added to her lifestyle - transforming the backyard into a refuge of beauty and practicality.
