Downtown Rooftop Museum LawnPop Artificial Turf was proud to introduce the transformativeDowntown Rooftop Museum the sustainable urban oasis that changed the face of downtown. This will offer an urban oasis as there is a new green open space high above a busy museum that combines nature with art, making it a great new place for visitors and local residents to escape to. Our objective was to realize this vision, and we went to work designing the multi-faceted landscape, which included artificial turf, native plants, and custom-built benches. Material choice was priority we opted for resilient, outdoor-appropriate furnishings that would withstand the elements and still look beautiful. Additionally, eco-friendly irrigation systems were put in by our team to maintain all the greenery without sacrificing sustainability and beauty. The main issue we had was the inconvenience of the rooftop being partially off limits. Heavy machinery and materials had to be moved through compact urban areas which often brought with them challenges of site access often involving strategic planning and fine coordination. Despite these hurdles, our experts arose to the challenge using creative methods including cranes and expert instrumentation to make the installs without interrupting museum services. The end result (of course) was nothing less than astounding. A lively terrain with many different textures and colors; the soft inviting artificial turf and shadowy ornamental grasses welcome visitors. Cushion clusters encourage lounging and conversing, creating urban living room spaces. The Downtown Rooftop Museum beautifies the museum but its main function is to act as one of the most popular gathering spaces for events and exhibitions. We have worked closely with the client to respect their needs, enabling us to deliver high quality areas known for their attention to detail which have impressed all who have visited this outdoor area downtown.
