About This Project

Lush Contemporary The Figure Ground Studio, LLC introduces 'Lush Contemporary,' a landmark landscaping located in the lovely community of Cold Spring. Lush Contemporary renewed the outdoor space with a progressive design using forms and materials that respect nature and periods of quality and craftsmanship. The design includes an alluring variety of native species with careful curatorial selections to withstand climate conditions. A beautiful water feature is an integral component of the garden, providing sounds and habitat for the local fauna. An elegant stone patio made with local bluestone surrounds the water feature to enhance transition between indoor and outdoor living. A problematic site slope created issues that involved creative grading to define drainage and soil stabilization. Nonetheless, advanced planning and high execution, our team has addressed the grading issues, resulting in beautiful landscape aesthetics that have primary controls for ideal cultivation and a successful landscape that looks beautiful in every season. The intended outcome was a lush, contemporary retreat that enhances the property's curb appeal and provides users with a place to study nature. The clients are beyond happy with the design and the attention that we paid to their way of living to enhance their experience of nature.
