Patios & Pathways by Sargent's Gardens The Patios and Pathways exemplifies the quality of trade and construction that Sargent's Gardens creates and puts forth as a landscaping standaard. This is just one of many that show our commitment to improving outdoor living in the beautiful communities of Elgin, Eyota, Hammond, Millville, Oronoco, Rochester, Zumbro Falls, Byron, Stewartville, St. Charles, and all across Olmsted County! Through a detailed consultation, the started with what the client envisioned for their backyard retreat. The design featured a four-level patio system paved in locally-sourced flagstone for a natural flow of transitions. Curved lines of permeable pavers were carefully arranged to optimize drainage and provide visitors a leisurely stroll through colorful garden beds filled with native plants to foster biodiversity and low-maintenance beauty. Our yard is not very level so that was one of the challenges we had to overcome. They leveled the land out quite well, so it shouldn't settle anymore and also the cottage will sit on this for structure as well as looks. We also included soft buried light along all paths to make a cozy and inviting ambiance to the evening gatherings. The finalists result is an outdoor area that satisfies the clients brief for entertaining and relaxing space whilst complementing the adjoining landscape. Our client loved the natural materials and the design elements and appreciated the attention to detail and the overall coherent approach where their vision came alive.
