Title: Secret Garden by Bruno Design Associates The Secret Garden , carried out by Bruno Design Associates, is an artful retreat that has turned a lackluster backyard garden in Chester into a natural wonder. This tailor-made landscape design merges a symphony of verdant Indigenous vegetation, stylish rock paths, and peaceful aqua features to provide a peaceful oasis to the owners. Our favourite part of the is a purpose-built pergola covered in climbing wisteria which creates shaded terrain for lounging while setting a romantic affect to the area. To combat the difficulties posed by the sloped site, the team used terraced garden beds, which allowed for better accessibility and added some visual interest with varying heights. Careful selection of durable yet appropriate natural stone was made for the pathways and retaining walls. Our brief was to create a space that reflects the identity of its location, which underscores the sustainable measures adopted by Bruno Design Associates, like the reclaimed timber used for seating and rainwater harvesting systems. A small pond with a waterfall enhances the biodiversity of the garden by drawing in local wildlife as well as providing a central feature. It was incredibly satisfying to see the final result of the final , ‘Secret Garden’, and it completely blew our clients away. The end result is a gorgeous backyard retreat that they can call their owncustomized to their tastes while also providing that much-needed space to relax and entertain.
