About This Project

Enhanced Landscape by J.R. Thomas Landscaping, Inc. Located in the heart of Cincinnati, the 'Enhanced Landscape' by J.R. Thomas Landscaping, Inc. is a representation of our dedication to quality and creativity in landscape designs and the outdoor environment. This full landscaping renovation was completed on a site located in Amberley, with our team thoroughly infusing forms of nature into the space to enhance outdoor living possibilities for the client. The included a beautiful array of hardscapes, such as custom stone patio built from locally-sourced bluestone that creates a visual and functional space for outdoor gatherings. We surrounded that space with raised garden beds out of reclaimed cedar that will grow beautiful flowers and vegetables. The native plants from this area not only provide beauty in the landscape, but also improve biodiversity, showing our sustainability efforts. Being the site had many elevation changes, a challenging part to this was managing water flow while implementing grading options for drainage and to prevent erosion. Our team was able to re-route water and put in a drainage system to support the lush greenery and flora, while having limited risk of flooding. The final product is an amazing outdoor oasis and exceeded what the client initially thought the possibilities. We balanced functionality with beauty by implementing winding pathways with ornamental grasses and boulders that were placed in ways that felt natural, while also polished. The client was beyond happy, reporting that it is a fabulous retreat and an inviting space for family gatherings. Our company, J.R.
