Reading Rock Wall - Jimtown Completed at Jimtown by Kuert Outdoor Living, our Reading Rock Wall demonstrates quality craftsmanship and creativity in landscape construction. Located in a beautiful section of the area, which includes Bristol, Elkhart, Goshen, Middlebury, New Paris, Wakarusa & South Bend/Mishawaka, it highlights the ability of hardscaping to dramatically change a space. The main element of this was a retaining wall composed of quality reading rock chosen for its look as well as durability and strength. Each stone chosen was selected carefully for color and fit to develop a wall that commands a presence in the landscape while naturally integrating itself to the environment. The wall was also designed to have a gentle curve, which adds visual pull, prevents soil erosion, and provides support for the adjacent flower beds. The wall was also successfully installed despite the challenge of the sloped site. Kuert Outdoor Living was able to successfully grade and configure the drain patterns for water runoff. This was performed to prohibit water runoff from damaging the wall and surrounding plants but to ensure that water runoff was directed toward the plant life that was designated to thrive in this location. In addition to the rock wall, we were able to improve the outcome with planned plantings. Each native species of plant life was chosen for favorable attributes in the local climate and ecology to round out the aesthetics and ensure that there was a soft backdrop that blooms during the seasons. Overall, this was extremely well received by our client. Our client was pleased with the outcome and appreciated the professionalism of our crew and attention to detail.
