Sullivans Island Landscape Design, Enhancement, and Maintenance Completed by: YardWorks Set among the coastal wonders of Sullivans Island, the Sullivans Island Landscape Design, Enhancement, and Maintenance by YardWorks represents the ultimate in nature and art. Our team service the once thick and overgrown yard into a stunning landscape that marries with the beauty of the island. Key program features included installing indigenous vegetation that can thrive in the island’s environment while promoting biodiversity. We selected a pleasing assortment of flowering shrubs, grasses, and perennial plants to provide constant blooms during the growing season. Pathways crafted from local stone offer rustic charm yet sturdy enough to endure the coast's elements. Additionally, we designed a calming outdoor space with a custom paver patio for relaxing or entertaining. One of the major challenges was the sandy soil, characteristic of coastal areas, in addition to the island challenges and workability to promote proper drainage and soil holding capacity. The YardWorks team tested the soil and amended it with organic compost and rich materials propelling it to hold nutrients essential for growth and longevity. The final product was a beautiful landscape that improved the property curb-appeal while simultaneously contributing to a sustainable wildlife habitat. The client was thrilled with the garden's execution, noting how the design seamlessly fit the coastal island environment, and distilled to garden that was full of activity and low maintenance.
