About This Project

The Universal Design Master Suite and Bathroom Remodel in Morristown, NJ, reflects a thoughtful transformation aimed at addressing the evolving mobility challenges of the homeowners. Our clients desired a space that not only maximized functionality but also exuded elegance and comfort, ensuring it felt like a true home. To achieve this vision, we devised a comprehensive design plan that repurposed two smaller bedrooms, a compact bathroom, and a walk-in closet into a spacious master suite, complete with a wheelchair-accessible bathroom and three closets. Upon entering the 25-foot wide bedroom through custom double pocket doors, you are greeted by an abundance of natural light. The generous floor space allows for easy maneuverability around the bed and furniture, creating an inviting atmosphere. The choice of hardwood flooring enhances the warmth of the room, while recessed lighting and expansive windows showcase views of the homeowners' beautifully landscaped gardens, contributing to a serene environment. The bathroom is a standout feature of the remodel, boasting a 5x7 roll-in shower adorned with natural marble tile, designed with a custom rug pattern that adds a touch of sophistication. The new accessible sink and vanity provide ample storage while ensuring ease of use. Throughout the suite, wider hallways and pocket doors have been installed, promoting accessibility without compromising on aesthetics. Additionally, a completely updated seated chairlift allows seamless access from the garage to the second floor, further enhancing the home's functionality.
