Serenity Pond, Pond Country Located in Greensboro, the 'Serenity Pond' showcases the skill and talent of Pond Country. This beautiful landscape renovation was designed to create a calming escape that balances humans and nature. The focal point of the renovation is a nicely designed pond with natural stone trim sourced locally to blend in seamlessly with nature. The pond is also outfitted with a tasteful selection of aquatic plants, such as colorful water lilies and elegant cattails, which are not only pretty, but also scrubs regarding biodiversity and habitat, mosquitoes included. To provide an atmosphere, we added a gently spilling waterfall that provides soothing sounds and oxygen to the water for health. Surrounding the pond is a lush landscape of native shrubs and perennials designed to grow in the specific landscape where they were planted. All the shrubs were designed for hardiness and low maintenance, while still providing seasonal color. One of the challenges we faced was the natural slope of the site. Our team was able to create terraced flower beds, using eco-friendly, durable materials to stabilize the slope, while providing a visual interest. The terraced flower beds also provided usable space for planting, so we could pack in lots of flowers to appeal to plant pollenators. The 'Serenity Pond' turned out nicely. The homeowners loved their outdoor paradise that invites relaxation and rejuvenation. The durability and quality of materials together with Pond Country's skillful design creates a beautiful landscape, while adding to the value of the property as well as the quality of life of the residents.
