corresponding Home & Garden Construction Group: Modern Low Maintenance Yard Designed for homeowners who desire beauty without the responsibility of high-maintenance landscaping is the 'Low Maintenance Yard' by Home & Garden Construction Group. This needed sustainable and beautiful landscape, so it was developed in very charming neighborhoods of Bay Area, including Vallejo, Walnut Creek, Palo Alto, etc. We started with a very detailed consultation with the client around their vision and lifestyle requirements. The sloped lot had its share of drainage challenges, so we shot ourselves in the foot right off the bat, but managed to accommodate a series of terraced garden beds. These were built using indigenous natural rock, which provides a rustic yet elegant look, that blends with the environment around. For easy low enforcement, we went with drought-resistant native plants, like California poppies and lavender, that grow well within the surrounding climate, while attracting friendly pollinators! Decomposed granite paths made for easy access around the garden while also suppressing weeds and thereby drastically reducing maintenance. The patio itself is a neutral, permeable paver patio that runs right from the base of the house, which creates an inviting outdoor space to host. They also have a drip irrigation system that makes them even more water efficient, meaning these plants will thrive while homeowners do very little to help them. The end product is an outdoor haven that stunningly combines form and function. Our Client was extremely happy with the new Look and felt that it was perfect not only in terms of the design but also in terms of the fabrication and the Material quality used.
