Build a rustic steel retaining wall around a slope grade. OMG Landscape and Garden Services is the proud landscape service turning your outdoor space into a functional and beautiful landscape. The 'Rustic Steel Retaining Wall' is one of our recent s that is a great example of our quality and craftsmanship level, serving all of Salt Lake County and Northern Utah County. The challenge here was a visual retaining wall that would minimize soil movement and also act as a local landscape feature. Made of high quality corten steel, a natural weathering steel, the wall has a characteristic rust surface that fits beautifully into the surrounding landscape. This is another material that we purposely picked for its resilience against the brutal weather we endure in Utah, meaning more durability, less maintenance, and less hassle for our client over time! There were challenges to this , such as the rocky ground and the already killed weeds. With our dedicated crew, we planned the plan that implemented state of the art methods to ensure stability while maintaining the beauty of the area. After removing invasive plants and leveling the area, the ground gave us a solid substrate to design a wall that could serve beyond its functional reason, and give a meaning relationship between the wall and the landscape surrounding it. The result was a beautiful rustic steel wall that softly merged with the garden to create the perfect canvas for all those pop flowers and greenery. This required excellent planning and careful execution, and the client was delighted with the result, stating they not only found the wall beautifully improved the aesthetics of the property, but also solved the drainage issues they were experiencing with their yard.
