We serve the communities of Elmwood, Jefferson, Kenner, Metairie, Metairie Terrace, New Orleans and River Ridge and we have the experience to turn a boring outdoor space into a beautiful courtyard that combines traditional appeal with modern capability. We started the with an in-depth analysis of the current landscape which presented some issues we needed to overcome ourselves such as slope & some shaded areas. Our designers created a customized plan designed to solve the problems we found while honoring the true New Orleans feel. The courtyard floor uses locally sourced flagstone, a premium choice that is replicative of the historic streets of the French Quarter while also being durable and long lasting. The warmth of the colors and textures in this natural stone creates a friendly environment for relaxation and entertaining. Vivid hibiscus and sweet gardenias to fill the courtyard with local expansive life. Well-thought-out irrigation maintains these species to thrive for all seasons, while a systematic placement of light fixtures seamlessly bring light into the space, creating shadows that transform architectural elements of the courtyard in the night. The also included custom wrought-iron railings and ornamental gates, reminiscent of the ornate designs seen throughout the French Quarter. We managed to merge those beautifully as part of the general design in a natural way. After it was complete, the courtyard gave the client everything they could have hoped for, an oasis that strikes the perfect harmony between ornamental and functional space. A sound landscape feature combining nature materials in harmony and bringing out the resulted in calm and space for any family dinners or even dates with the stars.
