West LA Landscaping by California Deck Builders Located in the heart of West LA, our team at California Deck Builders executed an exceptional landscaping that turned a modern residence into a stunning outdoor space. The transformed a yard by creating a space that is both visually appealing and practical with respect to the way the homeowners live. The involved several landscaping components, highlighted by a beautiful drought-resistant garden framed beautifully by indigenous California plants that were aesthetically appropriate and had a low maintenance requirement. Premium pavers contributed a long-lasting and attractive surface for the pathways in addition to adding warm, natural stone accents, creating texture and elegance. Like all s, one of the challenges of this was the steep incline of the property. Our team decided to go with a tiered garden design to increase visual interest while controlling drainage and soil stability. This approach allowed us to create a series of flower beds that cascaded down the incline with plants that provide beautiful blooms from season to season. We also installed a built-in lounge with a custom constructed pergola. This lounge creates a shaded area for the homeowners to relax and enjoy their yard with friends and family. The placement of ambient lighting invited use of the space long after sunset, contributing to a magical and modern atmosphere.
