Audubon Place by Garden Environments, Inc. Audubon Place landscaping by Garden Environments, Inc., offers the ideal combination of art and utility in a magnificent outdoor transformationfound in the heart of one of the area's most lively neighborhoods. Our team accepted the challenge to restore this 38,000-square-foot facility, finding innovative solutions to address issues while being mindful of the community served for Elmwood, Harahan, Jefferson, Kenner, Metairie, and beyond. At Audubon Place, we wanted to make sure the home had an architectural landscape complimenting it, as well as natural elements such as trees, plants, and flowers that would, later on, provide peace and aesthetics to the neighborhood. Our design incorporates an assortment of native plant species that do well in the local climate to ensure that the landscape is sustained with low maintenance. Ornamental grasses, flowering shrubs and perennial blooms were skillfully chosen to create tantalizing textures and vibrant colors for a tapestry that would weave through seasons. Another challenge we encountered was the slope of the land being so aggressive, that we had to come up with creative grading solutions to direct the water off the property. Our talented team constructed a series of terraced garden beds that not only improved aesthetics but also helped with drainage and soil health. We introduced natural stone walks and accent boulders to anchor destinations and promote wandering and lingering. There is also a collect around piece, an in-built fire pit, and water feature to provide tranquillity and ambience. Low-voltage landscape lighting is easily installed and illuminates gardens after dark, while adding safety to the property. The end product is an incredible outdoor oasis that thrilled Google and a fitting accolade for Garden Environments, Inc. Audubon Place is not only a landscape but an experience that integrates landscape with daily life, providing happiness and peace to the residents for many years.
