Rustic Walkway Rustic Walkway by Fertile Ground Organic Gardens is a gorgeous landscaping that combines functionality with nature. This sidewalk, which is now one of the coolest outdoor tourist attractions in the foundation, miles an ordinary roadside into an exterior strolling chair that captures the spirit of the Texas countryside within the applications of Austin, Del Valle, Manchaca, Manor, Mc Neil and Pflugerville. We laid out the walkway out of locally available flagstone to match the rustic look, but more importantly, flagstone is tough as nails and will withstand the weather. The land itself presented its own challenge with its natural undulation but our craftsmen were able to create a level plot without striping the land of its unique flow. Native woodland wildflowers and ornamental grasses planted alongside the walkway provide seasonal bursts of color while supporting local pollinators. Adding green practices, we used permeable materials to enable drainage and minimize runoff, allowing the local ecosystem to thrive and flourish. Finally, a wooden arbor built by our competent volunteers complemented the space, allowing climbing vines to grow and create a shaded shelter. The result is a stunning path which begs for strolls and a tranquil backdrop for family gatherings. This delighted reaction from the client of ours proved the quality and craftsmanship throughout the work. Rustic Walkway improves curb appeal on the property but also allows for more connection to nature and something that the home can enjoy.
