Description: Residential Landscape by Margolis Companies Recently at Margolis Companies we wrapped up a jaw dropping residential landscaping that changed the entire feel of a property in central Ann Arbor. Speaking of functionality, by the way, our design team partnered with the homeowners to help them create a style of outdoor oasis that matches their lifestyle and desired flow of their home space incorporated into function. This comprised a wide-range of landscaping features, including a colorful flower garden filled with native perennials selected for their durability and ornamental value during various seasons. A locally quarried bluestone was used to create beautiful paths that maintain access and interest throughout the yard. Create a serene gathering place with a built-in fire pit, rings of natural boulders and cushy seating nearby so family and friends can cozy up together, and use a well-designed water feature as an element of sound. One of the major challenges we encountered was that the property is sloped so effective drainage and erosion control solutions had to be developed. Our team skillfully fabricated staggered planting beds that not only answered these issues, but provided visual layers of movement across the landscape. We ensured top-grade top soil and mulch to ensure the gardens gerl easily inhabited the new homes, being of the earth, we integrated rainwater watering systems in eco-friendly ways. It turned out to be a stunning outdoor space and more than what the homeowners ever imagined. The result is a pleasing mix of color, material and function that provides interest and enjoyment throughout the year. Our feedback from clients has been awesome, now they can enjoy their backyard retreat perfect for lounging or entertaining.
