Jake Finished by: Premier Outdoors Landscape & Design Based in the center of Winter Park, the Jake is a testament to the quality and talent of Premier Outdoors Landscape and Design's landscaping. This involved a multi-stage overhaul of the client's outdoor area, as we focused on integrating beauty and function through creative solutions. The process started with an intensive consultation, in which our team worked collaboratively with Jake to develop the original concept of the . A challenge of the terrain was the considerable slope; however, with innovative design solutions, we were able to create tiered planting beds to improve aesthetic appeal and water drainage. Native flora, such as coreopsis with their bright yellow flowers and gardenias with their sweet fragrance, were incorporated into the landscape with focus on sustainability and low maintenance. To develop an inviting outdoor living space, a custom-build cedar pergola was installed, highlighted with stylish outdoor lighting that illuminates the landscaping during the evening. In addition, a natural stone walkway created with sources flagstone from the local environment invites guests to meander through the native plantings while providing a durable, slip-resistant walkway. Lastly, a new irrigation system was installed and designed for efficiency in water application so as to minimize water waste while expanding the overall health and sustainability of the landscaping. Eco-friendly mulch was used in the planting beds to improve the aesthetic of the beds and provide moisture for the garden. The far exceeded Jake's expectations, providing him with a beautiful outdoor oasis whether hosting guests or unwinding at the end of a long day.
