Modern Design in a Country Setting Rock Water Farm is excited to showcase its most recent landscaping , “Modern Design in a Country Setting,” that was finished in the beautiful community of Aldie. This exceptional brings the best of modern design to summertime in the countryside by transforming the client's outdoor living space into an oasis of relaxation. The featured thoughtfully designed architecture and landscape that include the striking invitation of natural plantings and modern hardscape. Clean lines and geometric shapes were established by the presence of stone set pathways and a modern experience around a fire pit made from locally sourced bluestone. Both elements of the improve visual aesthetics while providing long-lasting durability and sustainability. One of the unique characteristics of this site was finding a way to manage the site’s natural slopes while preventing water damage and ensuring accessibility. The Rock Water Farm design team met this challenge with the inclusion of tiered garden beds and rain garden system that not only mitigated drainage but also served to add depth and interest to the landscape. Drought resistant plants including ornamental grasses and flowering perennials were included to satisfy the need for low-maintenance while still providing lush landscaping that can survive any condition. The final outcome of the is a beautiful blending of modern design and natural beauty that delighted the client. The now serves as the perfect venue for family gatherings as well as peaceful living, the family can experience the relaxation of country life without compromising the modern design they desired.
