To add both shade and a tiny touch of sophistication, the owners decided to install a bespoke pergola, which they have now trained verdant vines to climb, and which will materialize into an organic canopy over the years. Given the sloped nature of the property and the likelihood of drainage issues, a very discreet but effective drainage system was added in such a way that it does not visually interfere with the design. That way, even heavy downpours will hardly affect a dining experience at all meaning our clients can take full advantage of their outdoor space all year round. Lastly, we put in ambient lighting that perfectly lights up the space when we host family dinners at night. The result? An awe-inspiring outdoor eating setting that strikes the right balance between luxury and nature and is a direct response to our client ideal for alfresco dining.
