UNC Retaining Wall and Flower Bed by All Terrain Landscaping All Terrain Landscaping is excited to provide an overhaul of the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) and campus with the 'UNC Retaining Wall and Flower Bed' . We improved the aesthetics of the area while also providing structural support to the adjacent complex. The site was located on a slope, and posed issues for drainage and stabilization. Our expert staff utilized locally-sourced stone of the highest quality to build a durable retaining wall that fit in with the land and provided much-needed action for the soil. The wall features amazing pattern and style that not only reflects the architectural style of campus, but has been thoroughly implemented to withstand time and potentially harsh weather. In addition to the retaining wall, our team designed a large, eye-catching flower bed with a range of planted life. The flowers were native to our area, and included additional perennials and seasonal varieties in the mix. The chosen plants not only survive in our ever-changing weather patterns, but also attract local pollinators to add biodiversity in the area. The use of mulch and decorative stone delimiter around the plants not only helped with moisture retention, but also weed suppression, for a low-maintenance yet appealing look. While continuing work on the , our team faced site accessibility and material deliveries were a logistical challenge. However, our commitment to the quality of the work and attention to detail prevailed. The result: a beautiful and unified landscape, inviting the students, faculties and visitors to use the outdoor space. The client was pleased with the result and was communicating that the new retaining wall and flower bed not only improved value in appearance, but foster an inviting area to meet and gather.
