Recognizing the need for a remodel, they enlisted the expertise of designer Julie Deuble from Artisan Kitchens & Baths at Appliance Associates. The renovation began with a significant alteration: the removal of a wall separating the kitchen from the living room and the addition of a window, merging these spaces into a spacious family room. This design choice not only enhanced natural light but also improved traffic flow, allowing for seamless interaction among family members. Central to the new layout is a stunning 14-foot island, which serves as a multifunctional centerpiece, accommodating seating for ten and featuring a dedicated clean-up zone. This island has become a focal point for family gatherings, from homework sessions to casual meals. Deuble thoughtfully integrated several features to reflect the family's personality, including open display areas for a cherished teapot collection and family heirlooms, framed by custom cabinetry with glass doors that break up the lines of traditional cabinetry. Command central is effectively organized in one corner, providing space for household files, family calendars, and a mail sorting area, promoting efficiency in their daily routine. A versatile sideboard enhances the kitchen's functionality, offering pantry storage and serving space for gatherings. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, the kitchen showcases high-quality materials such as Medallion Cabinetry Designer Gold, Cambria quartz countertops, and a selection of KitchenAid appliances that ensure a perfect blend of style and performance. The elegant three-stage crown molding and mixed finishes on cabinetry add visual interest, while designer lighting from Meyda Tiffany complements the space beautifully.
