Paths and Patios by Southern Elegance Design and Landscape Southern Elegance Design and Landscape recently completed the 'Paths and Patios' in North Metro Georgia. For the past years, we took a nearly invisible residential space and turned it into an outdoor paradise for our clients. This complex landscape design artfully marries use and beauty with graceful interlocking paver paths that lead the visitors through the gardens and to a large, multi-level patio for entertaining. We used high-quality materials and selected natural stone and long-lasting pavers that would match the area and last for years. Our company faced the difficulties of restricted, sloping terrain, which required an innovative grading approach to build a solid patio foundation. We developed drainage systems to direct any rainwater that could pool around the house and walkway, which maintain access to the outdoor space. We chose exquisite plant materials, native perennials, and ornamental grasses to provide color and textures during all seasons. The outcome substantially enhances outdoor spaces both functionally and aesthetically. Most importantly, our work raises the appeal of the client’s investment and provides peace of mind and enjoyment for individual and group outings.
