Viewridge Residence Vireo Design Studio, LLC is excited to share the recent landscaping completion at the Viewridge Residence in Seattle. This exemplifies our quality, creativity, and focus on client satisfaction in Seattle and all surrounding areas, including Bainbridge Island, Bellevue, and Kirkland. The Viewridge Residence included a large outdoor space - one element a design which made full use of natural beauty balanced with usability. In preparing the design, one of the primary challenges lay in creating recognition of continuity through the residence into the backyard. To fulfill that image, we successfully integrated a rich palette of landscaping elements, which featured abundant native plantings, a stone pathway of the highest quality, and an entertainment tiered terrace. With a commitment to sustainability in landscape design, we sourced locally quarried flagstone and also used durable permeable pavers. To invigorate the outdoor space, we installed incredibly colorful perennial gardens that provide blooms throughout the seasons, uplifting the engagement of our client, family, and guests, making the outdoor space more appealing and usable. Another unique aspect of this is the way a fully - customizable feature is also a valuable experience. A water feature poses a unique role in this design that draws people in to the outdoor experience via its design and sound. Lightweight, low voltage lighting of the anaerobic process to highlight its beauty day and night. Sustainable products are important, which is why we encouraged our clients to create their very own ecosystem! Vireo Design Studio, LLC prides itself in offering services and designs which make use of otherwise wasted space. This incredible did pose some challenges along the way - when we first started design, the very uneven grade of slopes created many obstacles. More importantly though, the previous owners had created many unique drainage issues including a combination of barrier walls, breakup, standing water, rooting trees, fence line, etc. To address all of this, we successfully established a grading plan but also developed numerous strategic planting techniques to go along with our client’s design and reduce existing issues while bringing depth to the presentation. The outcome speaks for itself - this transformed space into a recognizable outdoor oasis encapsulated and mirrors our client’s vision. With this design, our clients were thrilled to have a new image that brought beauty and usability at their back door - exactly what was created. We expect the space to be utilized and improved over many years and for us as a firm, that is the best compliment we can receive.
