The Long Doggers Indialantic Renovation stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of functionality, aesthetic appeal, and the preservation of a beloved local character. Located in beautiful Indialantic, FL, this project began in 2016 and was executed with a meticulous approach to both simple repairs and the addition of new spaces, ensuring the integrity of Long Dogger’s original vibe remained intact. The collaboration involved balancing the visions of two owners, with designer Jim McMillan contributing an innovative perspective on the business’s A1A exposure, while the renovation team concentrated on enhancing the exterior seating areas. One of the most significant upgrades was the replacement of the exposed roof structure, which not only achieved a seamless transition between existing and new elements but also elevated the overall aesthetic of the establishment. A striking new metal roof was introduced, moving away from Long Dogger’s traditional translucent plastic roofing, thereby enhancing durability while providing a modern touch. Additionally, the existing parapet was extended southward, effectively shielding rooftop equipment from view and adding a commanding presence along A1A, which is vital for attracting foot traffic and enhancing the business's visibility. The craftsmanship evident throughout the renovation speaks to the commitment to quality and detail. Each element was thoughtfully selected to ensure that the updated spaces would serve their functional purpose while also contributing to the overall charm of Long Doggers.
