Shade Garden by Gardening Angel Shade Garden: Gardening Angel reimagined a formerly wasted corner of a landscape in Ponte Vedra Beach into a peaceful green retreat. The clients wanted a peaceful sanctuary that would thrive under the dappled light of the great oaks that filtered through cask lit corners. We created this oasis with our expert team, combining native ferns and hostas with colorful azaleas suited to partial shade. We used good organic soil amendments and mulch to create a healthy ecosystem which kept the garden thriving without the need for chemical fertilisers. The presented unique challenges including uneven terrain as well as existing roots which demanded strategic planning. Our team was able to overcome those challenges through the use of tiered garden beds for good drainage and access. The Shade Garden has natural stone pathways that lure you into the depths of vegetation, and a few different spots for seating that provides a little nook to soak in the beauty of it all. The end product was far beyond what the client could have imagined and functioned beautifully in its surroundings providing a wildlife sanctuary space and a personal sanctuary space for the homeowner. Gardening Angel specializes in this type of quality and the profile provides visual proof of the quality of landscaping completed to this standard of excellence. The Shade Garden is a perfect showcase of our skill, improving the natural beauty of the land and the greater Saint Augustine area, and leaving the client happy as can be in their new yard.
