Poolside Pleasure by Gardening Angel (Garden Angel hammers out the hot sounds) Located in the calm, cozy area of Ponte Vedra Beach, Gardening Angel finished the Poolside Pleasure , converting an ordinary yard into a stunning paradise. We worked all of the perfect elements in a relatively small space, balancing a beautiful compliment to the client pool area with a functional landscape setup to serve the pool. The native plants included tropical hibiscus, jasmine scenting the air, and ornamental grasses that provide year-round color and texture. Using eco-friendly materials even the poolside patio will be clad with permeable pavers, in order to ensure sustainability. Not only does this help to minimize water runoff, it also lends a touch of the modern to the exterior. A great contributing factor to the creation of our design was the grade of the backyard, which is a steep slope requiring an out of the box solution to be to ensured both drainage and a usable space in a slightly elevated yard area. To allow easy access to the various levels of the garden, our talented landscapers designed a terracing system which included the implementation of natural stone steps which blend in well within the landscape. Throughout the progression of the , we also designed impactful mid-placed LED lights for accentuation of important site elements, further ensuring the site was as approachable at sunset as it was during the day. Just outside a rustic wooden pergola supported by climbing vines provides a relaxing place to sit, and a decorative stone fountain at one corner adds the sound of trickling water to the atmosphere. The client was over the moon with the results once the job was completed. The ‘Poolside Pleasure’ also looked to increase the visual value on their property and create a usable space for family get-togethers and celebrations.
