This large residential landscape provides a synthesis of contemporary-style and natural materials. The signature hardscape features a thoughtfully designed set of natural stone paths flanked by perennial plantings, a custom patio constructed with beautiful top-tier Bluestone, and numerous areas to entertain guests on a comfortable summer evening. Two challenges we faced were the sloped terrain and ensuring proper drainage. We countered this challenge by constructing tiered planting beds that allowed us to create contour in the landscape while ensuring proper drainage. The lush plantings selected consist of native perennials and ornamental grasses, which are known for their resilience and low maintenance. These plants guarantee color and beauty no matter the season. An irrigation system was installed with the purpose of conserving water and using environmentally friendly materials and processes. The highlight of the Catrock Residence was the exquisite water feature, which enhanced the serenity of the garden space while attracting birds and other wildlife. The transformation provided the homeowners with a beautiful sanctuary to escape and enjoy the convenient space for leisure and nature. In conclusion, the completed transformation of the Catrock Residence fulfilled the desires of the clients, providing them an outdoor room to extend their living space enjoyably.
