The Ladue, MO Home Office Suite project represents a transformative approach to both functionality and aesthetics, tailored to the needs of a retired homeowner. Recognizing the necessity for a refreshed space due to increased time spent in the home office, the project encompassed an updated bathroom, an organized closet, and enhanced natural light while safeguarding valuable artwork from sun exposure. The strategic relocation of the entryway between the office and closet created a more spacious and inviting bathroom environment. Original wood floors were meticulously uncovered and refinished to restore their natural beauty, providing a warm and inviting foundation for the suite. The introduction of seagrass cloth wallpaper, elegant and resilient, lends a dignified, masculine air to the office, complementing the refined atmosphere. Built-in shelving was skillfully designed to provide ample storage and display options, ensuring the workspace remains clutter-free yet casually professional. Energy-efficient replacement windows equipped with low-e glass effectively block harmful UV rays, allowing for generous natural light while protecting artwork. Adjustable louvered double-hung shutters offer precise control over illumination, creating a comfortable and inspiring working environment. The newly configured closet features floor-to-ceiling wood cabinetry, seamlessly leading to a luxurious bathroom retreat. In the bathroom, marble flooring, complete with radiant heating, extends up the walls of the walk-in shower, which includes a convenient shampoo cubby and bench seating for added comfort.
