About This Project

Carney Transforming A Landscape by Perpetual Bloom Gardening Services, LLC Situated in Cape Elizabeth, Maine, the Carney was an initiative to take a quite bare yard and transform it into an outdoor space. Working closely with the homeowners, Perpetual Bloom Gardening Services, LLC designed a landscape that fits beautifully with the surrounding coastal nature of Maine. The finished includes native plantings of perennials and ornamental grasses that bring color and biodiversity to the landscape. Meandering paths were also added using natural bluestone, providing a beautiful functional path that sets a calming tone. The custom-built cedar pergola provides shaded space for gatherings with family and friends and creates a place for enjoying quiet evenings at home. The durable, sustainable materials chosen will withstand the Maine elements throughout the seasons. The picturesque hillside location posed a challenge, as there were significant drainage issues. Our firm used a tiered garden design to address the drainage challenges and added height and interest to the landscaping throughout. The decorative boulders and terraced flower beds, for example, turned what could be an inconvenience into a design aspect. The final product brings together the functional and creates a lovely artistic space for the Carney family to enjoy. The multiple layers of greenery and the serenity of the sound of water features bring joy and serenity to the space. This showcases the level of craftsmanship and personalized quality we continue to provide to the communities of Cape Elizabeth, Chebeague Island, and beyond, bringing your dreams to reality one landscape at a time.
