About This Project

'Lake House' - Sylvia's Landscaping Company, LLC Located within the picturesque Lake Forest area, Sylvia's Landscaping Company, LLC completed the 'Lake House' as a working example of our ability to create beautiful outdoor spaces that connect with the environment. This full-scale landscaping renovation included natural stone pathways, colorful perennial gardens, and striking water features, all of which aimed to enhance the beauty of the lakeside home. Within the , our team was challenged by a sloped site with drainage issues and limited access. By using upscale materials, such as locally sourced bluestone and durable native plants, we developed terraced levels to mitigate drainage problems and maintain a stunning aesthetic. As part of the terraced patio layout, we also built custom stone retaining walls that fit within the natural landscape while allowing for site stabilization and durability. The key feature of the is the koi pond, which is thoroughly landscaped with aquatic plants and the area has become a focal point for the clients' relaxation and entertainment. As the goal was to provide sustainable, year-round beauty, we selected a wide range of plants with different blooming seasons to allow the area to remain consistently interesting. Ultimately, the 'Lake House' landscaping increased the property’s curb appeal and created an outdoor living space where the client could enjoy the environment and experience meaningful time outside. The diligence, quality of construction, and embodiment of the desired aesthetics to this significant outdoor living space were visible for completion. The client was thrilled and looked forward to sharing their new oasis with family and friends.
