About This Project

Front Walkway by Outdoor Specialties Completely transforming outdoor space from mundane to stunning landscapes that provide added beauty and function that is our area of expertise at Outdoor Specialties. This , recently completed ' Front Walkway' is just another example of our quality craftsmanship and innovative design serving our local communities including Bath, DeWitt, Dimondale, East Lansing, Grand Ledge, Haslett, Holt, Lansing, Okemos, Wacousta, Waverly, Williamston, Saint Johns, and Laingsburg. The Front Walkway will be carefully designed to offer an appealing entrance to enhance and complement the architectural style of the home. Good materials are also used here, such as decorative gravel or natural stone pavers. We chose the pavers for their individual textures and colors as to create a pathway for guests to follow from curb to front door with visual impact. Our primary challenge was to handle the sloped nature of the land that needed exact grading and leveling to make sure that drainage and stability was not compromised. Our experienced team took this challenge as an opportunity to make the new walkway great by installing a complete drainage system that protects the walkway and landscape as a whole. Next, we enhanced the design by adding accent lighting along the pathway, giving a warm welcome to the evenings when family and friends gather. The rich perennial plant plantings lining the walkway adds seasonal color and texture to enliven the area, while providing a screened off sense of privacy and enclosure. That's how we ended up with this stunning pathway, something functional as a path but also a beautiful feature of the property. The clients were thrilled with the new look and how well the new walkway fits their home and nature.
