Backyard Patio Outdoor Specialties Illustrating Solutions Outdoor Specialties is excited to showcase one of our recent landscaping s: the 'Backyard Patio', a complete outdoor living space to refresh the client's backyard in east lansing. This will display our quality craftsmanship and innovative design. This gorgeous patio brings together natural stone pavers with decorative concrete for a beautiful and practical space. The stones were chosen for texture and colour; each one matching the aesthetics in the immediate area. We also added LED light in the patio edges for warmth during the evening time. One of our biggest hurdles was the grades of the backyard which was uneven leading to a need for a lot of grading and drainage strategies to ensure drainage to avoid erosion. Using state of the art procedures to lay a sturdy base for this piece, our expert staff leveled the ground out and placed a sub-base to hold the patio for years to come. We also created a native plant buffer along the patio made of ornamental grasses and flowering shrubs that can provide both beauty and space for local biodiversity. A custom fire pit to sit around with family and friends has been added for evening enjoyment under the stars. The end result is simply beautiful, a multi-functional outdoor space that integrates perfectly within the nature around it, and serves as the ultimate backdrop for relaxing and entertaining comfortably. The client was over the moon with the end product, complimenting the workmanship and how meticulous we all were. Not only does this 'Backyard Patio' increase the value of their home but also, roof the enjoy their outdoor living.
