by Fasolino Landscape Design & Construction Inc.: Walls & Walkways They say their ‘Walls & Walkways’ is one in which the outdoor spaces in Ashland, Bellingham, and beyond came to life ion by Fasolino Landscape Design & Construction Inc. The purpose of the was to add functional and visual value to the client's property through custom hardscaping. The walls were built with stone from nearby quarries, have even been designed to serve both a structural and aesthetic purpose. They worked the soil to build tiered layers that were both an optimal way to manage soil erosion and displayed colourful blooms, bringing contour to the land. Walkways were laid using permeable pavers to complement the walls, allowing for proper drainage while providing a heavy-duty surface for foot traffic. Every paver was carefully chosen for its color and texture to match the adjacent elements in nature. We encountered rough ground and drainage problems that had to be solved in creative ways by our team. With planning and careful attention we were able to accomplish some nice grading and created some French drains for water but still keeping the stunning appearance of the . The end product was an effortless combination of functionality and art which our clients were thrilled with. The pathways tempt visitors to explore, and the retaining walls make a beautiful backdrop to seasonal blooms. It certainly improved the curb appeal of the property, but also its value and functionality.
