About This Project

Katz Estate by Bushnell Gardens & Landscape Designed and built by Bushnell Gardens & Landscape, the Katz Estate landscaping in beautiful Granite Bay, CA. Based in our communities of Antelope, Carmichael, Citrus Heights and beyond, our team took on the unique challenges of the estate surrounded with rustic different types of terrain. Our design evolved from a detailed site analysis, which helped us develop a strategy that meshes with the natural contours of the land and the plants already here. We carefully married hardscaping and softscaping with our expertise, high quality locally quarried stone pavers and natural hardwood patio protrusions and pathways. Slims the same inimitable custom water feature were precisely built in and naturally wonderful sounds could be heard at home with the property. Its landscaping showcases a variety of native plants and drought-tolerant shrubs that are well adapted to the area. In this case, it provides a low-maintenance solution that also encourages native wildlife, turning the estate into a haven for birds and pollinators alike! Seasonal flowers were tucked in for bursts of seasonal colors, making the estate a blooming retreat year-round. We had the added complexity of needing to grade out level spaces for planting and outdoor entertaining, especially since the site was not quite level. This was certainly not without challenges, which our landscape engineers were able to navigate, leaving you to consider how best to enjoy these wonderfully tiered gardens. The end result is an absolutely beautiful outdoor oasis that combines functionality and beauty. Now, the Katz Estate features several outdoor living spaces to host guests or enjoy a quiet evening under the stars.
