We were presented with the challenge of turning a dreary, lackluster yard into an inspiring space for outdoor living to mingle with our client and crafted a plan to create a design that blends into the architecture but makes a lasting impression when being approached to the home before entering. It included sustainable landscaping with native Missouri plant species selected for their adaptation to the local climate. We used a beautiful assortment of ornamental grasses, flowering perennials and evergreen shrubs for interest all year round. We installed a simple yet beautiful stone pathway made from locally sourced flagstone to create an inviting entrance that offers both durability and easy upkeep. The site is sloped, which presented a few challenges, but we managed to create tiered beds that are functional and look great and allow for better drainage of the soil! We used good quality mulch and organic soil amendments to enable sound plant growth with minimum maintenance. The end result was an amazing front yard that our clients we ere over the moon with, an ideal blend of function and beauty. The St. Louis Hills Frontyard Renovation features a beautiful garden and inviting pathway filled with flourishing plants and colorful flowers all examples of what Clipper Tree & Landscape is capable of producing with a little skill and a lot of love for outdoor spaces.
