Makeover: Fall Festive Landscaping by Detailed Landscape Featured Fall Festive Landscaping We always enjoy the s that we can plan for the fall season, and we’ve recently completed a particularly charming one that allows us to transform a property into a celebration of the autumn months. As always, we used seasonal colors/hues/textures so this installation celebrates the fall, but using a mind towards function and sustainability. This included a beautiful ornamental grass meadow paired with the vibrant colors of chrysanthemums and multi-level installations of native shrubs which not only beautified the property but also promoted improved wildlife habitat. We used beautiful materials, including locally sourced stone for decorative borders and high performance mulch to hold moisture and minimize weeds to keep the landscape looking gorgeous through the fall and winter seasons. Among these challenges were the slopes of the property, one of which we creatively resolved by using drain networks so that water does not pool where we need to lack water. To address this, our talented designers came up with a series of terraced beds that helped preserve the view while also creating a beautiful feature in the landscape that helps to lead the eye across the property. We also wanted to create a small fire pit area with rustic seating so we can enjoy those cool autumn nights (with marshmallows of course)! The outcome was a beautiful combination of color, texture and function that our clients were thrilled with and could enjoy their seasonal gatherings with family and friends.
