About This Project

The Autumn Woods exterior paint project in Ketchum, ID, involved a comprehensive revitalization of a four-building, eight-unit townhouse association. The original stucco finishes had suffered from years of exposure, leading to significant wear and fading that detracted from the overall aesthetic appeal of the community. Our objective was to breathe new life into the buildings, providing a cleaner and fresher appearance while enhancing their role as a backdrop for the lush landscaping and vibrant summer flower baskets that adorn the property. To achieve this transformation, we carefully considered the existing architectural features, which had been somewhat lost in the previous paint scheme. The original colors were inconsistent, with noticeable variations across different buildings due to multiple mixed batches. This lack of uniformity disrupted the visual harmony of the townhouses. Our solution was to implement a cohesive color palette that would emphasize the architectural lines without fragmenting the overall visual continuity. We selected three shades of tan, strategically applied to create a seamless flow across the structures. The design incorporated a thoughtful division of color, with the lightest shade applied to the horizontal wood siding and stucco, while the medium tone accentuated key architectural details. This approach allowed us to highlight the buildings’ unique characteristics while maintaining a modern and sophisticated look. The craftsmanship involved meticulous prep work to ensure a smooth application of the new finishes, which not only enhanced the visual appeal but also provided lasting durability against the elements. The outcome of the Autumn Woods project exceeded expectations, resulting in a harmonious and inviting facade that complements the surrounding landscape. The refreshed color scheme, coupled with the enhanced architectural definition, has transformed the townhouse association into a picturesque community, setting a welcoming tone for residents and visitors alike.
