− Private Residence − Orchard Lake, Michigan | Custom Garden Designs Orchard Lake, Michigan this gorgeous outdoor extension of a private residence created by Bespoke Garden Design took place in the beautiful surroundings of Orchard Lake, Michigan. We helped create an integrated design that complements the stunning setting in which the home rests, using local materials with an eye toward sustainability and lasting craftsmanship. We walk along the beautiful stone path that directs your visitors through perennial gardens designed to give a seasonal symphony of bloom colors. We included a custom designed bluestone patio allowing for great entertainment while providing a natural connection from the indoor living spaces to the outdoor living spaces. For privacy and to mimic the much louder sphere of noise that is private life, we added several different tree varieties, some evergreen, others deciduous, and planted a series of ornamental grasses to catch a soft northern wind. The undulating ground was one of the major challenges of the , with some creative grading work needed in places, and with retaining walls being needed to create flat areas for planting. Despite these challenges, we found a solution as our amazing team developed designs that looked as good as they worked well. The end result was not just an aesthetic achievement, but aligned with the functional requirements of the lifestyle of the client, giving them a plush landscape, inviting them indoors.
