Model Home 1 Bespoke Garden Design are specialists in transforming your outside space into a stunning landscape, bringing beauty and functionality to any property. The 'Model Home 1', which was our latest venture, showcases our attention to detail and creative craftsmanship in beautiful locations in Auburn Hills, Bloomfield Hills and etc. This was the site of a beautiful new construction home but needed a complete overhaul to the landscape to provide an inviting front entrance as well as a barometer for the rest of the area. The design outline comprised intentional quantities of hardscaping and softscaping elements that complemented the architectural style of the home while adding an appropriate component of natural beauty from the surrounding landscape. We started by laying out pathways and patios in colored flagstone with complex patterns of local materials that will last and match the color of the home. Routes were purposefully mapped out to lead visitors through the garden, between entering areas, outdoor seating, and areas where garden beds are placed. More native plants were used to create depth and texture, while making it sustainable and low maintenance. We mixed in some colorful perennials, ornamental grasses and evergreen shrubs to fill the spaces in between with something of interest throughout the year. The property itself had some challenges, predominantly with the slope of land and lay of the land. To combat this, our team expretly installed terraced garden beds to help with soil erosion encompassing beauty and function. We also designed an in-house drainage system that would deal with rainwater to guarantee the landscape would remain beautiful and functional at the same time even during a heavy rain pour. With time, working with the homeowners only made it better. The clients wanted a calm area, so we integrated some calming water feature which became the focal area of the garden (a little pond with stones and aquatic plants growing around it) a perfect spot to recharge your batteries. The final product was a stunning view that surpassed the expectations of the client. These components of design, materials, and craftsmanship came together to better the curb appeal of the property as well as created a space where family and friends could congregate comfortably outdoors. The ability to combine artistic fantasy and utilitarian principles is a hallmark of our work, as shown in 'Model Home 1' A Signature of Excellence by Bespoke Garden Design. While this was not only a response, it was a standard moving forward for the communities of Farmington, Lake Orion, Northville and outside to follow. We are very proud to have created a landscape that truly is designed for home.
