The team at Housetohome was asked to breathe new life into a large, rundown, residential garden that had become overgrown and unkempt over the years, and whose previous landscaping nuisances had turned it into a major chore during unsupportive seasons. First, we did a full property evaluation and flagged the high-impact areas for immediate intervention: overgrown shrubs, dead flower beds, and trodden soil that would choke back all but the strongest plants from growing. After a careful refresh of the garden beds with organic mulch and high quality soil amendments to ensure the perfect environment for plants, We approached our task with care and consideration, trimming and shaping existing tree and shrub structures to accentuate the contours of their shapes while preparing them for new growth. We also added a variety of native plants adapted to Louisville and attractive to local pollinators benefiting the ecosystem. Only difficult aspect was working with the un-flat land topography but our talented landscapers did a great job leveling the land out using the skill of grading to make it look like layers, cooling up the view of your garden making it deeper and croaky or bumpy due to layers. So we put in a drainage system that channels the water away and protects the garden from erosion, but it is not ugly to look at either. The final touch of the was the addition of a beautiful stone pathway that is made from local material that serves as a functional yet chic passageway between the garden. The end result was an expansive and colorful landscape that delighted our client and improved the curb appeal of the home. Perfect Earth Landscape LLC gave this kind of landscape which was overrun with weeds and grass a new life by incorporating creativity and sustainable practices to not only highlight the beauty of nature but also minimize maintenance in the future as well.
