The 'Patio wit Fire Pit' is a fine example of our quality work. Set in the beautiful town of East Petersburg, this was to create a stylish, functional, yet comfortable outdoor entertaining space. It included a large natural stone patio carefully laid down for long life and classic appearance. We selected pavers (including bluestone) that would work well with the rich tones and textures seen within our natural landscape. Central to the is an ingenious stoop-style fireplace constructed of locally-sourced fieldstone, providing warmth and a welcoming atmosphere for evening socializing. Probably the biggest challenge we had with the slope of the site was to keep the drainage in the right place, on the right side; our grading was quite inventive. We had a talented crew that was able to overcome this challenge and put in a retaining wall that not only made the patio more functional, but provided an additional layer of refinement to the design. We complemented this with lush native flowering plantings to the edges seasonally bursting into color to really lift and elevate the space. Our entire team worked tirelessly to develop a that met (and blew away!) the original vision of the client, from ideation through polishing. The end product is an stunning outdoor oasis space that ushers you to kick back, relax, and socialize, making it a great place for family get-togethers or a calming evening under the stars.
