About This Project

Becky and Andy's project, aptly named "All in the Family," transformed their new Springfield, IL home into a vibrant and functional space tailored for family gatherings and culinary adventures. The original kitchen, which was dimly lit and isolated from the rest of the home, posed a significant challenge. Our team recognized the necessity for a redesign that would not only enhance the aesthetic appeal but also improve the flow of the living spaces. To achieve this, we meticulously removed several walls, effectively opening the kitchen to the adjoining family room. This integration allowed for a seamless transition between areas, creating a harmonious environment where the family can interact and enjoy each other's company. The design vision focused on combining the kitchen and dining room into one expansive area, which serves as the central hub of the home. This open-concept layout enhances natural light while fostering a sense of togetherness. One of the standout features of the project was the buffet area, where we opted for an innovative approach by utilizing the stunning quartz countertop as a backsplash. This choice not only adds a contemporary flair but also simplifies maintenance, allowing the beauty of the material to take center stage without being overshadowed by traditional tiling. Throughout the project, we prioritized high-quality craftsmanship and materials to ensure durability and style. The result is a beautifully finished space that reflects the family's love for cooking and entertaining. The kitchen now boasts modern appliances, ample storage solutions, and a generous island that invites collaboration and creativity. The overall outcome is a warm, inviting atmosphere that truly embodies the spirit of family, making it the perfect backdrop for cherished memories and culinary delights.
