This involved a process thicker than "curb appeal"; the absolute goal of developing a grand entrance was to create an intentional welcoming statement that evokes elegance and sophistication. The design of the grand entrance featured a carefully constructed stone walk constructed of locally sourced bluestone that naturally complements the surrounding landscape. The walk is complemented by perennial gardens that have been planted in clusters and facial colors that present beautiful sights in every season. Plants were chosen for low maintenance, ensuring that the dramatic landscape will still offer a visual presentation without the effort necessary to maintain it. There were multiple challenges for this but one that was especially significant was the sloping topography of the property. To address this slopped ground, our talented team used terracing to create a tiered effect that lends interest to the slope but also provides access to the front entrance. The retaining wall was built from natural stone, which functions as both a structural support for the garden but also a significant aesthetic component. It was also very important to approach ambient lighting options that complemented the grand entrance. Custom LED fixtures were integrated into the entrance to provide a softer feature that showcased the beauty of the stone walk and gardens. This lighting option added a warm inviting statement during the evening. In conclusion, the result is a truly stunning grand entrance that demonstrates functionality meets artistry.
